Hi, it’s been a while that we blogged something – we wanted to keep you updated on what’s been happening over the past few months. My dear Mom passed away in June – it has been a very sad time for us, but we are also trying to focus on live and all the positive it has to offer. Please read below the nice words bob wrote and pleae come back to our blog to check for exciting new things we are up to… Anyone who has spoken to Elisabeth over the past 4 years knows that her mother has been battling cancer for all this time. Well, on Sunday June 14, Elfi Koch passed away. Some of you may have had the pleasure of meeting her on one of her very few trips here to the States; others have not. If your getting this it’s because you have been a friend or shown concern for Liz during this time. Thanks so much for that…
Liz’s parents live in Austria but despite the distance, I got to know Elfi pretty well; thanks to her, really. Once Liz and I were married, Elfi learned English so that she could speak to me. That is just about as far as anyone has ever gone to get to know me and I can’t tell you how much that meant to me.
Elfi Paar was born and raised in Austria married Alois Koch. With the help of friends and family, they built their home with their own hands and soon had 2 children, Martin and Elisabeth. Elfi was a wonderful mother, wife and housewife and loved her family, her town and her home like nothing else. We will all miss her very much.
Thank you all for you concern and thoughts and prayers over these past 4 years.
