Amy and Brian, Eagle Oaks Country Club, New Jersey wedding

A+B = P(erfect)

“This wedding is perfect!” That’s what Liz said to me one night, a few days ago, as she sat editing the photos that we took of Brian Dorgan and Amy Guild wedding; and Liz was right in so many ways. When she said that, she was talking about the amazing way that Brian and Amy designed their wedding day but she also felt that we had thoroughly succeeded in capturing it. I have to say, the pictures do look really good but making that happen is so much easier for us when the wedding day is well planned and venues look fantastic! Amy and Brian (a.k.a. A+B) made sure that happened. No detail went unnoticed (or un-monogrammed) by this bride & groom ! : )

The planning for this perfect day of course started early and Liz and I were officially made a part of it last October, on the recommendation of our friends and Brian’s relatives, John and Trish Ward. Thanks Guys! What we didn’t realize until the wedding day however is that the father of the Groom, Patrick Dorgan had been one of our very first commercial clients as well, back in 2007. All of these connections of course make us a bit nervous (because the pressure is really on) but, as I always say, they are comforting as well. It’s like being surrounded by old friends; very nice. It helps us turn the perfect day into perfect pictures.

There were of course many other contributions to to this extraordinary day. First of all, the weather was perfect. That’s a biggie! They selected the beautiful old church, St. Rose in Belmar. They choose the bridge at Spring Lake, as a very beautiful location for pictures. Then, at the reception, the staff at The Eagle Oaks Country Club seemed to do everything just right, most notably, taking care of the wonderful vendors that helped to make the evening such a success, including uber-talented florist, “Katydid”. The only thing perhaps more exciting than the visuals that evening was the music that poured like lava from the band. When the Fuzz Pops take the stage it is simply difficult not to take notice and almost impossible to sit down. Even Liz and I found ourselves helplessly dancing through the crowds on the dance floor; and as if that wasn’t all exciting enough Mr. Guild got up half way through one set and crooned some of the ladies into a swoon. Perfect.

Man oh man, we really love our job!
Thanks A+B!
Sincerely,
B+L
