Congratulations to Curt and Geralyn who got hitched at the Molly Pitcher Inn in Red Bank. Here is a little something about the two of the (from the bride): Our first meeting was about twelve years ago at an Irish Festival in Jersey City. Not too long after that I was a participant in a benefit pub crawl in Jersey City. One of the stops was Jack Miller’s Pub (owned by Curt’s parents Jack and Alice Miller). Curt was managing at the time. As time passed I would see Curt at various functions throughout the city. It wasn’t until about four 1/2 years ago that a girlfriend of mine and a mutual friend of both Curt and myself were going to dinner in NYC. On our way we saw Curt walking down the street, stopped and asked him if he would like to join us. He did. we had a great evening! A lot of laughs! That was the start of our relationship. From that time on we have been together. We both love the beach. I have enjoyed all the places we have been to and thing we have done over the years, but my favorite – the long walks at the beach no matter what the season! Curt proposed to me Christmas Eve 2012. Earlier in the evening we went to dinner with Curt’s mom and my brother. We had a very nice time: great food, great company and a lovely restaurant. After dinner Curt and I went home. He seemed a little nervous. We weren’t home that long, before Curt said that he had something to ask me. He said that he wanted to ask this question at the beach, but because of Sandy, that wasn’t possible. (Both love the beach). Immediately I knew what his question was going to be. Being the gentleman that he is, he got down on his knee said that he “wanted to spend the rest of his life with me, would I be his wife?”. My response – Absolutely! Christmas is always a beautiful & wonderful holiday, but Christmas 2012 was the best! The best gift ever! Our wedding day was everything we hoped it would be. The ceremony was beautiful. My brother Bob was the celebrant, my brother Tom escorted me down the aisle, Curt’s brother Christ, Best Man, Alice, his Mom, Eucharistic Minister and Linda, my lifelong friend, was Matron of Honor. A church filled with family and friends, what more could you ask for? Our reception at the Molly Pitcher Inn was great! The food, the band, the guests – everything was fabulous! Everyone had a fantastic time (including the bride and groom). We are extremely grateful to be blessed with such wonderful family and friends. Their presence and sincere wishes for our happiness made our day perfect!
