Happy Anniversary to Ben & Kelsey, married on June 6th, 2015 at the beautiful Bayhead Yacht Club! Liz and I remember the day well… the beautiful day, the struggle with the bow tie, the trollies, the touching daylight ceremony in the clubhouse ballroom followed by that amazing cocktail hour! You did n’t want to pose for bride and groom portraits, preferring to spend precious time with family and friends and the wonderful portraits we got in the very short time that you allowed us. : ) We’re so glad that we did it! Then, shortly after your guests took the short walk across the bridge to the boathouse, you both arrived at the reception by boat and were welcomed like conquering heros! American Pharaoh won the triple crown that very same day. The room was a DYI dream come true. Your families had come together to design and build the entire thing; the farm tables, the banners, the flags, the lights, the decorations, the favors and even the fabulous 1/4 moon “photo booth”! The day was so big that we recruited the help of our good friend Mike McLaughlin, photographer extraordinaire, to “man the moon booth”. Thanks Mike, both for that and that beautiful light painting of the boat house at night.
