Happy Anniversary to Monique & Darryl Hughes and thank you both sooo much for bringing us along for the ride; a ride that really began for us some 16 years ago now! In July of 2004, Liz and I were working (and playing) at The Half Moon Resort in Jamaica, photographing the wedding of our mutual friend David Tarver. On one of those 4 lovely days of happy gatherings, we met Mr. Darryl Hughes and by the end of our trip he proclaimed, “If I ever get married, you two are going to shoot my wedding!”. Well, talk is often cheap people but not in this case because you see, some 14 years later, our phone rang and it was Darryl, calling to say that he was ready to get that party started! And party they did on a fine Sunday, June 7th, 2015! It was the day that Darryl’s nephew finally got that limo ride that he had been waiting for, the day that the bride was fashionably late for an amazing ceremony in a Red Bank church that Darryl’s family had been parishioners at for many, many years and it was also the day that this bride and groom took over the ballroom at The Breakers in Spring Lake and brought the house down with their wonderful family and friends. Liz and I can’t express enough how happy we are to have shared that day with you both! Happy 1st Anniversary!!!
