• The Importance of Family Portraiture…

Have you ever walked down the hall of a family home or just settled into a comfortable chair and spent some time looking at old family portraits? Aren't they a great thing to have? Aren't you glad that someone took the time to have those pictures taken? A family portrait, like a holiday, is an event that brings families together, the result of which allows future generations to settle into their most comfortable chairs and reminisce and ruminate on the good days gone by…

Life passes us by so quickly. How simple it really is to take a little time to take a photograph. How nice it is to allow ourselves this simple pleasure.

Good portrait photography, to us, is the perfect combination of science and intuition; a delicate and magical blend of complimentary lighting, skillful composition and a comfortable relationship between subject and photographer and we strive towards these goals with every portrait that we photograph.

• Before Your Portrait Shoot…

We will answer all your questions, choose a location and discuss clothes, etc. Just let us know if you have any questions or concerns at all.

• On the Day of Your Photo Shoot…

When the day comes, mini sessions take about 20-30 minutes to photograph and full packages take about an hour to an hour and a half; but of course, we’ll give you all the time that we need to get your portraits done right.

• After Your Photo Shoot…

A few days after your photo shoot, you’ll be looking at your pictures on line and once you’ve made your choices, we will retouch your selections and get them to you in a couple of days.

You will of course have the right to print your selections at any lab of your choice but we are always happy to print for you as well, if you prefer. Should you choose to do so, we’ll custom retouch your images and craft your prints, in house, from our collection of fine art papers and canvases.
