St. Michael’s Church in Long Branch, guess what? A beautiful blue sky showed it’s face and the rain stopped! As she walked into St. Michael’s a few drops began to fall once more and once all were inside, it was waterworks all over again. It rained the whole ceremony long but guess what… When the happy couple emerged from the church, newly married, the rainy weather once again came to a screeching halt!
We drove from there to exciting Asbury Park for some photography and when we were all finished, I called Rachel over and told her what I had observed. I wanted to know her secret! She looked a bit surprised that I had noticed and immediately called her mother over to explain…
Her Mom told me that the “same exact thing” had happened to her when she got married but on that day she was able to fix it! So when she awoke to rain on Rachel’s big day, the answer to the problem was clear… All she had to do is to put her little statue of the Madonna out on the windowsill and wish for the best. Rachel told me then – with a really big smile- that she never believed that it would work but guess what… years later, it worked again! Miraculous!
So the rest of the day was just as amazing, with a party at the spectacular Clark’s Landing and Brian Kirk and the Jirks heating up the dance floor…
Thanks so much to both families for a fabulous day! Mrs. Discepola, I hope that you love the pictures because I may be calling in a favor if the forecast is bad for our next bar-b-q… : )
