Alexis and Kyle, Bayonet Farms, New Jersey wedding

Willoughby“, you may have been right if you were riding a train in the Twilight Zone but we’re talking about somewhere right here on Earth… We’re talking about Alexis and Kyle’s wedding, on June 16th, 2012, at Bayonet Farms in Holmdel, NJ. It was a time and place transformed. This bride and groom spent so much energy on every little detail of their day; and much like Liz and I, who have worked together creatively for nearly 20 years now, they seemed to have their own individual strengths that complimented each other so very well; like ying and yang. In this case it seemed to be… Alexis G. McVicker, artist and dreamer and Kyle Vitale, forging dreams into realities. As we met with them in the weeks before the wedding day, it was so much fun listening to them tell us about their vision for the big event and trying to imagine how it would all look when the day finally came. Truth be told however, we were unprepared for how wonderfully the couple had transformed the spacious barn into a very lovely and personal place for their friends and family to gather and celebrate. On each windowsill sat a vase of fresh cut flowers; on each crossbeam, a row of framed family photos. A truly authentic and insanely talented ragtime band sat on wooden chairs before bales of hay and serenaded us into another era. Cute, hand-painted signs could be found here and there, directing you to one type of little pleasure or another. A mason jar sat in the center of each table, each uniquely filled; some with spools of thread or maybe nuts or keys and on and on, each of these topped with a different pretty little bird. Every crystal clear platter at each and every table setting sat upon a page of beautifully illustrated sheet music and better yet, a bit later, each of these plates were filled with a delicious dinner, freshly prepared on premises by the fabulous Mumford’s Culinary Center. So many details inspired by so much love! Liz and I would like to thank the McVicker and Vitale families for entrusting us to capture this special special day in photographs and for treating us like guests the whole night long. Kyle and Alexis; we think you should both quit your day jobs and start designing weddings. And when and If you do so, we’d like you to please take us along for the ride! “Next stop Willoughby!” Ceremony and Reception: Bayonet Farms, Holmdel Party Rentals: Paul David Event Design: Alexis G. • EmilyHi,
I was googling rustic wedding venues and Bayonet Farms came up and after looking at pictures, I am interested in getting in contact with them. However, every website I find associated with them brings me to a spam website and I am finding multiple number but none are for the farm. Do you still have any contact information for them from when you had your wedding. Pictures are gorgeous by the way!ReplyCancel
